the future's not ours to see,

hah. isobel reacted rather violently when she saw my msn nick that goes ''for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" 'cos apparently she saw a phrase similar to that in 'the book of good gardening' which is owned by the wolfs from the parallel world which is from the book 'the talisman'. she says it's a brilliant book and that she was doing injustice to the book by summarizing it. it sounds familiar actually. shall borrow it if i can find it:)
'the interpreter' is nice. there are actually some mind-grasping parts. some parts in which i felt it was rather true. (not of stupid love and what sorts of crap there may be) which will trigger raw feelings in people, then some medical stuff incorporated in it as well.
hahaa. i shall repeat the line at the back. it says that 'the interpreter' is "an exploration of moral integrity, emotional isolation and profound passion."
oh wellz, enough said about books. going to the central to buy a bag later:) 'cos i met yengyong and yunlei on the way back. so i've decided to accompany them as well... seeing that yengyong looked so stoned and yunlei was trying hard to cheer her up. ah wellz:) hopefully, she's better now. she doesn't want to tell me what the prob is... said something about "it'll make you feel sad as well." yun's mood got affected, so she left us for 'her friend' working in safra first, while i walked around with yengyong trying to find a present for joanne:) *grInz* didn't work though...we ended up trying to look for -whatyacallit-...you know, the thing that qingz wore to darren hayes' autograph session for her. she seems happier. even cracked some stupid jokes. hah.
there should really be a manual for comforting people. but then again, if someone really writes it, it's going to be really basic. 'cos everyone has a different way of being cheered up. and different preference. oh wellz:)
