yay. i've slept and awoken:) haha. there was service yesterday:) i always enjoy the time of service 'cos it's when i see so many of the sisters and brothers together, as well as seeing close friends together as well:) haha.

yesterday sengkim gave us a shock (hehe. i should say pleasant surprise right? O.o) by giving us roses. here're pictures of the roses:the flowers look like this when i first got them in the afternoon:) nice and fresh. haha. thanks brother! ruisi was like commenting that he must have spent a lot on the flowers 'cos he gave to a few sisters. hahaa. apparently ruisi likes flowers! so pple, you all can give her flowers on valentine's day or something!:) or her birthday!
Anyway, the flowers started to turn blackish at night... after Hanes' competition... haha. they looked like this:heh. this looks darker partly 'cos i took them at night.. 2am in the morning at the somerset busstop:)those are my fingers for comparison. hahaha.
think it was really sweet of him to give us roses:) brothers. learn to be more chivalrous. haha. the chivalrous thing came about from pastor jeff's sharing. haha. pastor jeff was sharing about the adulterous act between david and bathsheba 'cos it was part 2 of the valentine's special and inevitably we touched on the topic of bgr. hmm. he also talked about how girls can be fashionable but not overexposed. haha. i saw an overexposed female during hanes' competition:

the female on the left of the picture. hahaha. she's the host. i think she's being cleopatra, 'cos the other male host is dressed up as an egyptian pharaoh of sorts. anyway, ziwei, jessie, wenjuan and me went to hanes' competition at fort canning. it's supposed to be some festival of love and youth. quite cliched. hahaha. anyway, the whole trip would have been quite a waste if not for the great company and the fact that hanes' band is superbly brilliant! they're so excellent. hahaha. i was wowed by them. haha. it's like a mix of evanescence with radiohead with jazzzzzzz. you really gotta catch them. they did 'lovefool' and 'can't take my eyes off you' as covers. haha and their originals are so amazing. btw, the female singer you see in the above picture is called michelle (another michelle!) and she's the lead vocalist for the band. the guy behind is the guitarist and i think he also does the mixes... not very sure. haha. more pictures coming up!:)This is Hanes at the keyboard. the lower picture is taken when he's playing. didn't take pictures when he's self indulged into the music. but his keyboard skills are amazing. i love the third track. it's so nicely crafted and so haunting:)

this is michelle the lead vocalist:) she can draw the audience quite well. some of the guys from a former band were like going gaga over her. super hilarious to see. not yet grown up ba:)

the guitarists! hahaa. so amazing. i was so amazing at their skills and ability to turn the guitar into an instrument that doesn't just churn out the normal chords, but to be used to create resonance and that kinda thing as well:) amazing desu!

Oh. but the judging criteria was super unfair. and i refuse to talk about it anymore:) the judges were pretty useless except for the first one who gave constructive comments. haha:) quite exhausted now.. haha. shall end off with a photo of my tution kid's younger sister!
