Come join us in celebrating a new beginning and the start of a brand new year, hopefully a much better year!
Youth Concert @ South East 2004 will be held on Saturday 10 January 2004 from 6:30pm at the open field beside Singapore Post Centre (opposite Geylang Serai Malay Village, next to Paya Lebar MRT station).
This mega outdoor concert will feature some of the bright new stars of tomorrow Jill Hsu, Joanna Feng Wei Jun, Rui En, Ben Yeung, Derek McDonald, V' S and also established artistes such as BAD, Remus Choy and Sheikh Haikel.
Special Guest Artistes are Julian Cheung ChiLam and Tanya Chua.
Organised by the South East CDC to promote racial harmony and community bonding, the main objective of this concert is to convey to the youth that community activities can be fun and hence, to entice these youths to participate more actively in the community projects and works. Besides performances by foreign and local artistes, youths can also sign up as volunteers to do community work with some of the artistes.
Tickets are priced S$2.00 and are available from the South East CDC office at Singapore Post Centre, at all K-Box outlets, CD-RAMA outlets @ Orchard, Marine Parade, West Mall and Hougang Mall, Cafe Galilee @ Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Orchard, Pasir Ris, Queenstown, Sengkang, Woodlands and National Libraries and World of JJ outlets at Bishan and Choa Chu Kang MRT stations.
All the proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the Goodlife Centre @ South East, the Salvation Army-Bedok Multiservice Centre for the Elderly and the Metta School in the South East District. Several corporate organizations have also pledged to top up $0.50 for every ticket sold.
So bring your family and friends to the Youth Concert @ South East 2004 on 10 January, and party to bring forth a "Brighter and Happier" 2004 !!!
