yeah!:D back from student camp!:D it rocks! hahaha:D first of all, the bunk was quite nice:D actually got my own bed, aircon, bathroom, toilet, cupboard, the works:D quite a nice room. carpeted somemore. hhaa:) praise and worship was great:D hahaha:) the youth pple were quite enthu. but so were we! we're divided into different families and houses. i'm in the house kilohana (hawaiian for excellence) and family 2:D first day games were relatively mild. just had a not-so-nice part about sucking up different sauces (poor ziwei sucked up vinegar, someone else had chilli water) and transferring it:D hahaha:) teaching was inspirational:D since it's an excellent camp, it's of course, about excellence:D haha.
second day was full of teachings and workshops:D but the teachings were again, super inspiring. i love sermons and church teachings, 'cos the stuff apply to your life and it's brought across in a humorous, yet impactful way. we had jubilee night on the second day too:D rocks!
third day was mega games day! cheered till a few of us had not much of a voice left (ziwei was speaking in a falsetto until she bathed, then her voice came back a bit. i couldn't sing at all and went to scare xinyi with a deep voice. lol) kilohana got the most creative prize (judging from cheers and our mascot:D)! anyway. for the whole of the third day for mega games, we were just plodding around in mud and more mud... hah. we won all the station games we went to, got quite a lot of weapon cards:D
third day was also global connection night ('cos we had international delegates from other Hope churches, eg, Germany, Europe, Malaysia, Taipei...) 67 of them in all (is the number right?) whereby skits were put up. the first skit by the NE group from Youth was quite impactful. relatively professional. lots of effects used. u won't be able to forget it so soon. think they did rather well. our UNI district did well too!:D we touched more on the comedy aspect, but the last section was quite touching, spoke to a part inside of me.
we also celebrated Jason's belated birthday on sat night:D (third day...haha) or rather, should i say morning. a very inspiring leader, someone who really takes the effort to know his people, someone whom u can really feel his love for Jesus and through his love for Jesus, a cultivated increased love for the people around him as well:) a person of excellence as well. glad to know him:)
poor shepherd wanted to talk to me and huichun:D to catch-up a bit...but i think we ended the celebration too late (around 3+am). heh. i really appreciate my shepherd. shy to tell her. hahaha:D
slept at 4.30+am in the end. woke at 8.30am. quite tired, what with the lack of sleep from previous days. but i got reminded of one of the teachings, got reminded of what God has inspired me with, got reminded that i can lean on His strength, and just clung unto Him to get up and do stuff:D
yup. had Y-Acts, organised by the gen-acts club today:D rather cool:D met at Yishun Safra and all...currently have Adeline (primary school classmate!), Eng Hao (he's from my primary school too, can you believe it?), Eunice (from Bendemeer Sec, nice girl!:D she was in NPCC. going to TJ), Freedy (guy who looks perpectually confused), Hui Chun (yeah!), Joanna (ade's fren!:D my sister!) and me inside. we're called the X-Jameeah!:D and we're the X-Jammers! and we're always X-Jamming. hah. think our cip project's quite cool too:D
we played some get-to-know-u games. wah. the things we did still amazes me. we had frogs in our games, water bombs, balloons, lots of water and mud. we had to crawl from one station (in the field!) to another and back-crawl from another station to another (*faints*) very fun!:D really a time of bonding:D
can't wait to do the project:D i'm going to learn the harmonica and learn to sing songs in canto, hokkien, tamil and malay! O_o"
