today, i petted my cat, and said to it 'i delight in you. you're so cute!'

and suddenly it struck me, God delights in me too. not cos i've done anything for Him, but cos He chooses to delight in me.
and it brings me joy to delight in my cat
and it brings Him joy to delight in me
